Mexico City, September 23, 2025.- The Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations (UN) in Mexico, the Chapultepec Forest, the University Cultural Center Tlatelolco of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and the Museum of Popular Art are pleased to announce the winners of the Poster Contest in Mexico for the UN's 80th anniversary: for a sustainable future, in peace, and with rights for all people:
"ACUERD2.0" by Guillermo Belchez
The jury recognized Guillermo Belchez's poster “ACUERD2.0” for representing a future driven by cooperation, innovation, and unity to forge a more just and sustainable world.
In his work, Guillermo Belchez meaningfully reinterpreted the number "80"; the "8" is transformed into the symbol of infinity (∞), represented by the intertwined hands of a man and a woman that evoke continuity and collaboration, which in turn pay homage to the commitment to gender equality and human solidarity as pillars of peace. Beside it, the number "0" takes the form of the planet, declaring a clear mission: infinite human support for our world.
The jury highlighted that the work possesses a distinct and fresh style, and noted that the poster captures the values and principles, as well as the future vision of the UN in commemoration of its 80th anniversary.
The winning works will be the official images for different commemorative activities for the UN's 80th anniversary.
The convening organizations celebrated the richness of visual proposals received and expressed gratitude for the participation of students, visual and plastic artists, as well as all individuals who submitted their work. The three winning entries and seven entries that received special mentions can be consulted here. Furthermore, they acknowledged the important work of the jury in conducting their deliberations.
Finally, they reiterated the importance of art as a tool to collectively imagine and build a future that is peaceful, just, with rights for all people, inclusive, and sustainable, in line with the principles, values, and purposes of the ONU México.

"Ultimately, this poster is more than an event poster; it is a visual manifestation of the symbiotic relationship between illustration and animation—a celebration of art in constant, vibrant, kinetic evolution."
